CRUISING IN STYLE
Dancers at sea find each other
Following our inaugural ballroom dance cruise on the luxurious Crystal Serenity our award-winning professional dance team has continued to wow our guests with their style, technique, and incredible personalities. Dance lessons every day, dancing every night: cha-cha, salsa, samba, quick step, bolero, waltz, tango, rumba…magical! One guest has been on fifteen dance cruises, and said this was the best. We credit our ballroom dance team and their energetic and enigmatic personalities. Ballroom dance cruises provide a great opportunity to keep up your dance skills or learn new ones with experts by your side. Best of all, dancing at sea really improves balance as you learn to work the core muscles with the gentle sway of ocean waves. Our upcoming cruises for those who want to continue dancing at sea include: two adventure in December. One will be on Princess cruises starting in Fort Lauderdale with our Shall We Dance team, and the other one on Crystal Cruises with our International Montreal-based dance Team starting from New Orleans to the Yucatan Peninsula. If these don’t fit your schedule, join us for springtime in the Mediterranean from Monte Carlo to Venice An added bonus is the camaraderie of like-minded people. Ballroom dancing while on board a cruise adds to the fun of traveling while doing something that is fun and good for you. One guest asked how many ballroom dance cruises we’d organized in the past. I replied, “two” since we organized two at the same time. This was our first sailing however and with our experienced staff, it ran like it was our 100th ballroom dance cruise. Thank you Danny, TL, Chris, and Annie for making me look so good!!!! Thank you to TL for bringing so many participants from your dance school (all of whom showed great dance enthusiasm on and off the dance floor) and for all your work in preparing a solid dance program.
When we first started planning, we were fortunate enough to meet seasoned cruise teachers TL and Chris. Their knowledge, professionalism, and humor provided a top notch event. We rocked the boat until midnight every night and can honestly say that Chris never wore out, dancing continuously with incredible stamina. TL provided assistance with the various cruise departments and ensured that everyone got on the dance floor. Both TL and Chris provided incredible positive energy. Our Latin pro Danny and our Hustle and Ballroom pro Annie matched with the same professional standard and exuberance. Crystal’s live band played incredible beats and had a superb repertoire. Where did I get my energy? The amazing massage treatments aboard Crystal.
Food on the Crystal Serenity was well beyond any foodie’s dreams. Our ballroom dancers dined as a group in the Crystal Dining Room, although most guests had the opportunity to try the Silk Road Nobu Sushi restaurant or the Prego Italian restaurant. Of course there were premium wines, champagnes, and spirits and all included in the no surprises pricing. After dinner it was time for more dancing at sea till the wee hours of the morning.
As if dancing at sea isn’t enough, the cruises also offer many opportunities for entertainment: lectures, on-shore stops and activities, fitness classes – the list is endless.
Travel for you may be about relaxing, or it may be focused on being active and energized. Ballroom dancing cruises can offer the whole package – dance, laugh, and enjoy life to its fullest!
