DAY 2 QUITO

After breakfast, we’ll take you on a walking tour of old Quito. Founded in the 16th century, it was built by the Spanish on top of Inca ruins. This traditional South American colonial capital is today a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most beautiful capital cities in South America. Three of Quito’s monasteries provide exceptional examples of the Baroque school of Quito which fused Spanish, Italian, Moorish, and Flemish styles with local indigenous art.

After lunch, visit the Equatorial monument.

There are some wet and some dry landings so be prepared to get splashed. Want to learn more about the animals of the Galapagos Islands? Click here.
